The Association of Postcolonial Thought is organizing several symposia to engage the futures of postcolonial thought.

Our inaugural symposium, titled “Anticolonialism as Theory” was held at the University of California, Berkeley in Fall 2022.

Next, in Fall 2023, we met at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor (topic: Crisis). Our upcoming symposium is scheduled for Fall 2024 at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (topic: Desire/Collectivity).

In Fall 2025, we will meet at a symposium Northwestern University and in Fall 2026, at the University of Virginia. All symposia are open to the public and free to attend.
