Savita Maharaj is an English PhD student at Brandeis University. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern University in 2022 and her Master in English from Brandeis University in 2024. Her research interests are contemporary and eighteenth-century Caribbean history and literature, archival theory, critical histories of race and gender, indentureship, diaspora, and postcolonial theory. Savita currently serves as project manager and curriculum creator for the Early Black Boston Almanac.
